By using this app or website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What this service is

Public Transport Live is an independent app showing public transport information for Malaysia and Singapore. It is built on open data from official public APIs, including Malaysia's Open API (data.gov.my / Prasarana GTFS feeds), Singapore's LTA DataMall, OpenStreetMap and CARTO for maps, and community flight-tracking networks (adsb.lol, adsb.fi, adsbdb).

We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Prasarana, KTMB, LTA, SMRT, SBS Transit, or any transport operator or government agency.

2. All times are estimates

Every time shown in this app — arrival times, wait times, journey durations, timetables, flight ETAs — is an estimate, not a guarantee. Live positions can lag or drop out; timetables change; buses run early or late; upstream data sources can be wrong or unavailable. Do not rely on this app for time-critical travel (exams, flights, interviews, last trains). Always leave a margin and check official operator sources when it matters.

3. No responsibility / limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, cost, missed connection, missed appointment, or inconvenience arising from your use of (or inability to use) this app, from inaccurate or outdated information, or from interruption of the underlying data sources. Your only remedy if you are unhappy with the service is to stop using it.

4. Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no scraping at scale, no attempting to disrupt it, no reselling its data as your own. The underlying open data belongs to its respective publishers under their own licences.

5. Privacy

• No accounts. No names, emails, or phone numbers.
• Your location never leaves your device. Maps, nearby stops, and trip tracking are computed on your phone; we do not receive or store your GPS position.
• Your saved routes, recent trips, and settings are stored only on your own device (browser storage). We cannot see them.
• Aggregate statistics only: we count visits, total minutes of use, and which routes are opened — as anonymous totals, with no IP addresses, tracking cookies, device IDs, or per-user records. These numbers exist solely to improve the app.
• Third parties: when the app loads map tiles or flight data, your device or our server contacts those providers (CARTO, Google Fonts, ADS-B networks), which see requests the way any website's do. We do not send them anything about you beyond the request itself.
• No ads, no analytics trackers, no data sales.

6. Changes

We may update the app and these terms at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
